THAT WEIRDO

I'm not sure if anyone remember my journal about my "slanty" eyes!

Click to read this journal if you havent read it

I was actually in a good mood today, until I logged on to TF, just to see the msg from this weirdo AGAIN! This time, I'm officially blocking him from contacting me here. I dont hate him or feel threatened by him. It's just so darn annoying.

So this is gonna be his last msg he could ever send me.

Just wondering if he ever wrote any nice msgs to any of you?

Hope your day is much better than mine! Yell

ps I'll write something nicer later today, if I'm not too busy lol

ps ps TF Admin asked me to put this journal in private on TF so I did and post it here instead hahaha

The Amazing Race - Bar Hopping for Charity '09

When I first signed up for this event, I didnt know that it was actually a race like what we see in The Amazing Race, the tv show lol I actually thought that it was a bar hopping that u guys would do with a bunch of friends once in a while. Oh well, it was absolutely fun nevertheless! Wink

Everyone was given a direction to 6 different bars on a different location which are Sport Academy, Larry's Drive, Moon Shine, The Duke of Wellington and Jamesons's. Apparently, other teams had already hired their personal motorbike taxi. I didnt know that. Arndt told me we should go to The Duke of Wellington and Jamesons's which are in Silom first but since we didnt have a motorbike taxi. We decided to run off to Sport Academy which is near where we were at the time. God running on higheels was not easy lol

I forgot that we had to blow a balloon and break it without using any hands at Sport Academy. I never know it was that hard. Arndt and I tried to bang the balloon but it didnt break no matter what we did, until someone gave us a clue, we should try with something sharp like a belt head hehe we didnt use that but my earring putting around his belt instead. It was a judge's idea so we didnt cheat imo.

After we left Sport Academy, it was difficult to get a motorbike taxi there. Apparently they were not allowed to park or pick up passengers from that area, but there's a nice lady selling stuff around that told us to run to the next soi. Thanks to her! At this moment, took us 5-10 min to bargain with the motorbike guys for taking us around and back. We finally came down to 300THB. I'm not sure what the other teams paid but I hope we didnt get ripped off!

The problem we found when you're the first team to arrive at one bar is that the staffs had no clue why we were there. At Moon shine, for example, the manager told us that she was talking to Rob but she didnt know what we really had to do, so at this point, it took us a while to explain what we had to do her. We had to call Rob to inform him about this as well. Rob arrived when we're done "blowing the tissue in the air without letting it fall for 5 seconds" thing. I told Rob to add up 10 minutes for us cos of this Tongue out Well, thats what they do in the Amazing Race Tv Show! lol

Getting the right transportation or taxi drivevr is also very important, because you could be the last team to arrive if the driver doesnt know where to go or which the best direction is. Luckily for me, my driver was a bit young and understood what we were doing. Arndt's driver is not very good with a road map. He told me he ended up explaining to the driver how to get from one place to another. You know, when we rode from Sukhumvit soi 22 to Silom road, I actually arrived to The Duke of Wellington 10 mins before Arndt. I already finished my drink by the time he got there. I like the game we had to do here so much. See the pic below why. I felt a little drunk at this 4th place, esp when I had to jump 10 times, I got a bit dizzy after that.

The price of each drink at different bars are not that different in between 100-150 THB range. We had 4 glasses of Vodka Coke (I know, I know but I like it sweet!) and  2 shots of B52. I think we paid only 200THB at Jameson's which is surprisingly cheap, considering it's located at Hotel Inn (Silom). The one at The Duke of Wellington cost us around 311THB in total. The drinks were not that expensive, just the tax they added up! I like the manager there. Not sure if she was a tomboy but she's kinda cute. In case, no one knows but half of the money we spent on our drinks will be added to TF Charity Fund. Now I feel so good for getting myself drunk, having so much fun running around BKK and also having a chance to help someone else! Kiss

On the way back to our destination Det 5, Rob texted me, "The 2nd place is still available". Why Rob, Why did you have to upset me knowing my team will not win anymore? lol Anyway, we made it to 2nd place team! YAY! I was surprised that Arndt got there BEFORE me! lol Everyone seemed to be there already though. Hideaway team won again this year, damnit!

It was a pleasure to have met up with all of you last night. I cannot wait for the next year race. I'll make sure I'll win next time lol I'm proud of my 2nd medal though

ps. No one has actually brought the camera there. I must have been a camera freak to them (?) hahaha

Hope you all like the pictures!

Starting off with John's demonstration of how to play this dutch game

Hello Admin ^^

I didnt get a chance to take any photo at Sport Academy cos I thought we were in a hurry and we didnt think about it but trying to win this game haha

This is from Larry's Drive where we had to hit one ball each and it was difficult for me cos I didnt know how to play pool! I eventually did it though, thanks to Arndt's advice!

This one was at The duke of Wellington -  jumping with one leg and touching your nose 10 times altogether with your team mate. I like this one, even though it made me feel a bit dizzy afterwards haha

One of the activities at Jameson's - carrying a pingpong ball in a spoon and walking around the pool tables without dropping a ball

Arndt and his slow motorbike driver Tongue out

Last activity - THAT DUTCH GAME and it's actually harder than its look!

Admin was giving me a medal (Blame it on the photographer for not getting ur face lol)

Me and my proud medal

ERRR....

There's this one guy who keeps writing me about something wrong with my eyes! He is not even in my friend list so he cannot obviously click to see my picture closely. I deleted all his of first few messages after replying to him nicely but he hasnt stopped writing me.

I remember his first email saying "There's something wrong with your eyes" I am certain I replied, "There's nothing wrong with it. My eyes are normal. I'm not short-sightened nor long-sightened"

Then, he still sent me emails saying, "There is really something wrong about it". He finally said that he thought my eyes were "slanty" I didnt know if I should be pissed at him or what. I was definitely doubtful why someone you didnt know would write you like that?!

Again, I replied, "It must be the angle of the picture when taking a picture" I didnt know what else to say.

And he replied on 27th of Nov, 2009 that

(I've kept his msgs after this so all msg before this are quoted from what he sent to me)

"No I wouldn't say its the angle of the picture. Anyway its your issue not mine. Best of luck trying to sort them out, I pity you"

40 min later, he sent me another msg and this time he gave me a name,

"FREAK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

This time made me laugh, so hard. I replied, "Thank you, I know I am :)"

Never ever expected him to write me again. Surprisingly, he sent me another msg TODAY

Its worth a look"

So do you think I should say "Thank you so much for being so concerned about my eyes" or shall I keep my silence? I dont wanna be rude and say stuff like...

"Get a life, you loser who doesnt have any real profile pic but a dog pic! You're 23 and probably old enough to understand that it is weird to say stuff like that to a person you dont really know. Perhaps  your family and school in Ireland havent tought you how to talk to a lady (you haven't met) nicely?"

This is my only close-up eyes picture I ever took. SLANTY?

Yes? Maybe I should really go and do some check up, right?

Have a fantastic Thursday, Everyone Cool

This baby needs your help

I went to the Ministry of Industry for a press conference on "Thai Industry after the economic crisis and the economic direction for 2010" this morning and on my way back to my office, I took a taxi (as I don’t drive in BKK), the taxi driver turned on a taxi radio. There was a male caller telling the DJ how much he desperately needed baby accessories for his newborn baby. He was asking if anyone would be kind to donate stuffs like diapers, clothes, toys, milk powder, milk bottles and other accessories because his family has basically got absolutely nothing. If you heard about his story, you would feel so sorry for his family and probably wanna help him as much as I do.

He’s currently working as a motorbike taxi driver but it doesn’t earn him that much because he is not registered in any driving area team (ไม่มีวินประจำ) Why? He cannot, as he wouldn’t be accepted. A year ago, he got in a fight he didn’t start. An ex bf of his wife came to have a quarrel with her about some old stories. What he didn’t see was that this psycho ex bf was carrying a huge knife (ประมาณมีดอิโต้ได้). He got in a fight and that guy cut both of his arms. The doctor could sew both of his arms to his body, but it is not the same anymore. His left arm cannot really operate or feel anything while his right arm could somewhat operate normally but not as good as a normal person. It took a year for him to be able to work again. His wife at that time couldn’t get a proper job but a cleaner. She is hired to clean the house in the village near where they live. It’s not everyday job, depends if anyone wanted to hire her and she could possibly earn about 100-150 baht ($3-$5) each time she got hired. She also had to rush home to take care of him.

Since he can now do some work, he would ride around Don muang area and see if anyone would need a ride. If lucky enough, he would probably be able to earn about 200-250 Baht ($5-$7). per a day. The couple has got a 4 years old daughter which cannot go to school yet because they could not afford anything but their apartment rent and other expenses. Today, his gf is giving birth to another baby girl. They’ve got absolutely nothing for this newborn baby, not even clothes. He’s going to pick up his girlfriend and the baby later today. So he’s wondering if anyone would be kind to donate baby accessories to his family. If you had some baby stuffs that your baby no longer needs, please feel free to donate to Mr.Kanoksin’s family.

Please call taxi radio 1644 for further information (in regarding to a matter of Mr. Kanoksin) if you wish to donate baby accessories or even money.

My Fantastic Loykratong Day

I was all excited about Loykratong this year because I missed it last year. I didn't even know that it was Loykratong yesterday until someone posted their status on Facebook that it's a Loykratong day on Monday Embarassed Everyone was so busy that no one had got time to make any Kratong. For me, it doesn't matter as I suck in doing this kinda stuff anyway.

So we decided to meet up around 8pm as per Babe and Anne private discussion. I was late again, unintentionally of course. I arrived our meeting point, in front of Channel Store, Emporium, around 08.30pm. Surprisingly, everyone was already there except for Babe. We waited and waited, there was no sign of her. She tried to call her, she didn't even pick up her call (I'm sure she was afraid that we were all gonna scold at her hehe) So we all decided to leave to the park without her. As soon as we got to the park deciding what Kratong we should buy, Babe showed up with 2 other friends, Tammi and Tuck. I was so thrilled to see them as I hadnt seen them like forever!

Can you imagine a group of 9 crazy talkative Thai girls walking altogether in a lousy crowded park would be like? Yes that's how we appeared to be in everyone's eyes. We were so alarmed and screamed at even a small firework lol We talked non-stop as if we haven't seen each other for years (in fact, we only saw each other on Halloween lol) It was so much fun really. We also bumped into some other TFers like i4God, Idar73 and AnnPC Smile I met a few other non-TFer friends too. This is one thing I love about Bangkok. People always come out to few busy places on special occasion like this and there you see, some familiar faces.

We went to eat in Sukhumvit soi 38 afterwards. Some went home, some went clubbing. I couldn't decide if i wanted to go out or not. Then, I realized I had to interview the Dean of ABAC school of management the next morning, so I went home. I came home with a smile of my face feeling that it was definitely a good night with great companies. Hopefully we all could do stuffs like this altogether again.

♥            ♥           ♥           ♥           ♥

Here are some pictures from last night. A Credit goes to James Lamrock, the only guy among 9 crazy Thai grils hehe

It was crowded everywhere we went
