Will you marry me?

"Today is February 29 or what we know as "a Leap Year", the day when tradition dictates that hopeful ladies can turn the tables and pop the question to their man.

In a Leap Year, it's traditional for women to propose to men. This year we're giving all you romantics out there the chance to propose to your loved ones in our special February 29 edition.

There is a tradition that in 1288 the Scottish parliament under Queen Margaret legislated that any woman could propose in Leap Year; few parliament records of that time exist, and none concern February 29.[1] Another component of this tradition was that if the man rejects the proposal, he should soften the blow by providing a kiss, one pound currency( or about 100,000THB today), and a pair of gloves (some later sources say a silk gown)"

I didnt know about that till today. I think it's pretty fair for us ladies who want to get marry so terribly but our boyfriend still wont make any move no matter how many hints you've been giving to lol I'm pretty sure that some couples are just happy the way they are, no need a piece of paper to show their commitment or anything but I'm pretty sure that deep down inside, most of us still wanna get married anyway, right? ;-)

Personally I think getting married is something I wanna do just to show the world that the man I'm getting married is forever mine! You know it is not easy to find a guy who completely commit to you when you live in Thailand, esp Bangkok, The temptation land. There are always so many beautiful women around you and him? I still think that if you find someone special who means a lot to you, just dont let them go. It's still not too late to ask them to marry you now or else you have to wait for another 4 years lol

Although by the time I finish writing this, it's already passed 29th of February (I finished the first half on 29th!). I'm still hoping to find Mr.right by 2012 so I could ask him to marry me if he would not do that before then. Perhaps I'd feel so old and desperate by then hahaha well you'd never know would you?

So may I ask you again, "Will you marry me?" I hope it's a Yes ;-)

My Hong Kong trip Day 1 {04.01.08}

I've never really planned to go there. Then my girl friend asked me to go with her so I would not mind to go there for once. I bought the ticket and everything but then I could not go with her anymore. I won the tickets to see how they build an AirBus and Fly back with it in Toulouse France with Eazy FM on that same date of my trip to HK with my girl friend. So I had to postpone my trip with my friend. Basically I had to let her go alone! I still really feel bad about it, although her pictures show me how much fun she had without me hahaha The most ironic thing is I could not go to France cos I could not take any more days off. The radio (or maybe AirAsia the sponsor) kept postponing the date. It was kinda sad but I didnt really regret that much. To me it would be 2-3 days flying and 2 days trip around the town. I guess it would not be much different from other town in Europe and i'd rather go to Paris to see the Effel and party with my friends Wink

Anyway, that was happened in December 2007. I've postponed my Emirates ticket to 4-7 Jan, 2008. It was a promotion ticket so I could only extend my ticket for one month. I was actually excited about this trip cos I was gonna be a backpacker again! So of course I've been planning my trip very well, about where to go, where to do, that kinda stuff you know.

I am known and aware of myself that I am always almost the last passenger who get on board! So I tried my best to catch the plane as earliest this time. I got to the airport one hour before my departure time. I was waiting in a check-in queue but then I was told to buy a new ticket first cos I postponed my ticket. So I had to run to buy new ticket and come back to the check-in desk. The worst thing could ever possibly happen was that my flight was already full. Basically it was overlooked. Of course I felt like wtf! how could you let this happened?? So they told me that they would transfer me to China Airlines which would be delay one hour. I was then put in a VIP business lounge. It was ok then. Got some snacks and free alcohol! Too bad that my rule is try not to drink while i'm on board lol One hour delay for me was ok cos I didnt have anyone to pick me up at the airport so I didnt have to keep anyone waiting. They also gave me a duty free voucher of 200UAE worth. I could buy anything within the limit while flying back from Hong Kong to BKK. I actually forgot about it and didnt buy anything on my way back. Luckily, the ticket is still valid and I am already planning to buy a eye shadow set of Bobby Brown, yeah thats all its worth lol I'd have to say that China Airlines is one of nicest airlines I'd love to fly with. Apart from Bangkok Airway, they also performed a nice landing that didnt hurt my ears. People might complain about small seat but hey I'm small so I really had no problem about it lol

Me waiting @ the VIP Business Lounge

I like flying at night cos the view on the ground is amazingly beautiful. Hong Kong is really a lively colourful country indeed. I could see that there're a lot of Thais coming to Hong Kong through the custom. It's so nice that we can travel to Hong Kong for 30 days without a visa requirement. I didnt expect to be asked for my luggage check at the custom but it happened. I asked the guy at the custom whether they would check all people coming from Thailand, he said "no, it was random". I thought, "then why me? afraid that i'd come and seduce your guys? hahaha " I felt free after the custom. Now I had to look for an octopus card. I read on the website that it's really a MUST to have this card cos its like a by-pass card to all transportation in Hong Kong and it was absolutely so worth it! It'd help you save cost on travelling. I think I only spent about on transportation 200 HKD by octopus card and 80HKD by taxi. (1 HKD = 4.32 THB) Anyway, I think I was a bit dumb enough to not be able to find an octopus card. I firsly went to Cafe DeCoral, another fast-food shop like McDonalds, cos it was the website that you can buy an octopus card here and McDonalds. No, not at the Airport Branch! Then I went to 7/11 cos the girl at that cafe told me so. The service at 7/11 was only to refil the card. Then I sorta got lost in the airport which is actually not that big lol I finally found a way to get a Shuttle Bus cos it's cheapest and provides great service. I asked the guy at the ticket desk if I could buy an octopus card with him. He said, "Upstair". I was like huh?? So I asked again, "Where". He said "MTR" oh well that didnt really help much cos they didnt really speak english. Then I had to go up stair and find MTR counter service again. It was very tough for me cos my luggage was only 13kgs and walking up and down kept me a really good sweating, not! The Airport Shuttle Bus service was excellent. It only takes 40 min from the airport in Lantau Island to Kowloon! It was amazed by all sky-high buidling next to each other like a domino ever since the bus drove pass from the Airport. It's really unique Hong Kong.

Hong Kong Int'l Airport

Airport Shuttle Bus - with no charge of luggage fee!

I booked the cheapest hostel in a good location on Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon. What I didnt know is that the Chungking building I was staying in was a scary place for a girl travelling alone! That was my HK friends said anyway lol Tongue out but seriously I think it's as worst as some cheap hotels around Nana. I was annoyed by those non-Hong kongian people that tried to persuade me to their hostels in front of the building. The best you can do is to ignore them. When I arrived my hostel, I didnt actually get a room I booked for. Instead, they gave me a twin bed room which I had to pay extra for that. It's kinda suck cos I was on a limited budget and it was not really my fault. You know Hong kong is a very small country, so it's no doubt when I saw my super tiny room. What I like about this location is that it's really closed to MTR (Mass Transit Railway) , the same system as MRT here but way better and faster lol Kowloon is a great place for all shopaholic, although I didnt shop much this time.

People in the building. The funny thing is you can see what people are doing in the lift while waiting in the queue. I even saw some couple made up in the lift!

So ready to go out now

I looked at the time after the check-in and everything. It was almost 9. I had to thank to Bowling for introducing me to her friends in Hong Kong. They called me so I headed out to Lan Kwai Fong, an expat night life centre! I dont know how to compare Lan Kwai Fong with night clubs in BKK cos there're so many places in Bangkok for me to recommend you to go! lol When I walked to LWF, it was like this is where I belong! hahaha There were so many cute guys which apparently you could not find in other places in HK lol I met up with Bowling's friends , Devan and Katerine who are also now my friends hehe , at the chill bar called Jem. Then they took me to another bar of their friends called Priory. What made me interested in this bar is that they got a dancing pole in the end of the room lol I was gonna do some pose there but it seemed like everybody really enjoyed themselves there Wink They also got err what do u call it u know a dentist chair.. i have no idea what its for but it's very interesting dont u think? Tongue out Today didnt seem like a good day for me. Some guy was swinging his ass off on the pole and accidentally kicked me in the back of my head. I was standing close to the pole and I think his long leg somehow got to me! He didnt even know he was kicking me till we told him. After Priory, we went to a club called Beijing Club. Here in HK, you need to know someone to get u in the club like someone who is a regular or someone with a member club or something. I could not help but wonder, "would I be able to get myself in the club if I didnt know anyone? Use my charm?? lol " Beijing Club is similar to most clubs in BKK. They play Hiphop, most known pop music and so on. You need to get on the lift to the 3rd floor to go to the club. I dont like that it's quite dark there. Its hard for me to see if there's any cutie or hottie u know. As a result, I've seen NONE! There's a section where you can sit outside on the balcony. You can smoke but no alcohol please. A bit weird isnt it? It did remind me when I was sitting chilling myself out on top of Vertigo at Banyan tree hotel here, yep very chill.

Somewhere near Lan Kwai Fong

My Hero(in) of the night!

They're funny as hell

He's actually a toy maker u know lol

Making friend with a local

A hot waitress @ Priory. She's a male btw hehe

Beijing Club

After the clubs, as usual they wanted to eat lol we went to , according to Devan, the best and the worst noodle restaurant. He said the restaurant was running 24hrs and if you wanna eat after a night out, you can always come here. Sorry that i forgot the name of the restaurant. Not that i was drunk or anything. it was in Chinese and its hard for me to remember the name of it! I looked at the time again, it's almost 5 am. Taking a taxi from Central to TST would cost me at least 100HKD so Katerine and I decided to stay over at Devan's. I was gonna get up at 6 to catch up MTR but oh well you know I would not make it right? yeah I didnt get up till 9. It was a great first day...well night... in HK.

To be continued....

Fashion TV After Party on F.Diamond ship 16.11.07

Warning : This page may take so long to download due to high stream vdos and pictures lol

I tried to take the panorama pic but it didnt turn out very well.

No matter how many people agree that the party was just OK! (or suck), I still like the whole idea of this party on F.Diamond ship. I've got invited to this party by several people and they kept talking that it's gonna huge and fun. Well the boat was hugh and looked really nice hehe

Can you find where I was?

There are 2 prices for entry tickets you can get in advance. 700THB for 2 drinks and 1,500THB for open bar. Ann and I arrived there around mid night. We talked to the host before that we could actually buy tickets at the door. I didnt really check what kind of ticket they gave to me after we paid. Turned out I received a VIP card which was not so VIP. Only people with 700THB and 1,500THB could get some drinks. Those VIP people needed to pay full price. I was told by some friends who got here before me that they could not exchange for any drinks but a BEER! To me, I think it's ridiculous cos they have to think that not everyone like drinking beer. i DONT! Later on, Ann found the way to get drinks we deserve. We could in fact change the card into coupons and that's when she got me a glass of VERY VERY strong vodka. She told me that she asked the bartender if we could have more vodka so they poured half of the glass, AWESOME! Now we had to go back to the door man and asked if we could change my card so we could get more drinks. We had a problem with the doorman which kinda pissed me off. He told us that he could not change the card esp after we went in the party for 2hrs already. I had to explain to them that it was not our fault to receive the wrong card. Ok we might have not checked it but why didnt they check it before giving it to us? Fortunately, the big manager who gave me the wrong card just walked by and he gave me a new card.

Me and Eve, one of the organisers

Cant help bumping into them everywhere!

My sexy lady in red

I reckoned that the ship was pretty huge and I didnt really get a chance to walk around that much. People were standing dancing in all 3 storeys. We only sticked around with our friends and talked to the strangers around our table. The outside section played the house/techno music and gathered up by those young cute models *drooling* while the hiphop beat was running inside the house. People must have spoiled a lot of drinks on the floor. I almost fell off so many times while walking and dancing there lol

Do you see what I see Tongue out

It was of course too hot too sweating lol

I later found that the open bar was further down the hall. I just didnt walk to that area. 2 of my norwegian friends arrived at 3-4 am and paid 1,300THB for an open bar. I could not remember much what they had but it's not that worth cos they arrived when we're about to leave to the tunnel lol

We luv young boy! lol

We could've had our romantic night lol

That night at the Tunnel was ok. They allowed 7 of us to get in after buying one bottle which really surprised me but we were so happy to get in, 30 min before it was closed or something! It was around 5 am when Ann and I thought we should call it a night when others went to another after party place! It was a long night for all of us. I did not get up till 5 pm on that same day hehe

My future bf lol joking

Me and P'Tanny

Hope you enjoy your SundayWink

The following videos would probably tell you exactly how the party was like

This is how it all started

Some models had arrived and showed off their move

We swinged around the house/techno to the hiphop beat

My Netherlands trip - the story of Day 1

Believe me I did not plan to miss my flight or lose my baggage but it happened! I was intending to fly with British Airway on the 1st of July (basically its a night of 30th of June) All my bags were packed. I stopped over to have a dinner with Niels before heading to the airport. I had one luggage and two sport bags with me. I was not that late this time. However, when I got to the airport, the check-in counter told me that i was only allowed to carry one bag on board and one loaded on the plane! methought, "WTF!!" then she said well I could take a look at my booking confirmation which in fact remarked one bag allowed only. Never mind that. I was asked to unpack and re-pack my stuffs. I was amazed how I could put one smallest bag into a luggage I was going to carry with me on the plane. After I finished re-packing, miss oh-i-just-notice-that-you-got-more-than-100-ML-liquid told me that I was not allowed to carry the liquid stuffs you know all my beauty secret. I really needed those stuffs cos I knew for sure that my skin would be very dry on the airplane and I needed some cream to refresh me. No no its totally not allowed. I suddenly heard the guy whispered to his colleague wondering why I would need it on the airplane! I hope they would born to be a girl in their next life so they would understand why hahaha! I ended up carrying a luggage and a woman carrying handbag on the plane. I walked around the airport checking which bank could give me the best exchange rate. Yeah I forgot, their exchange rate is all the same. It was 46.87 baht = 1 euro that night. I was sort of running late when I looked at the time. 5 min till the gate would be closed and I was still stuck at the immigration! I ran and I ran. Arriving at the gate exhaustedly. I could not see any asian there but me. I was feeling a bit special. My seat was actually in the middle of the row. I was hoping to sit next to a hot sexy good-looking guy cos it would be a direct flight to London. I was totally wrong. I saw an old lady was sitting there. Her ears were not very good now. She could not hear anything very well. Just before the plane would be shifting, there was a guy came and asked her to leave cos she was sitting on his seat. She left forgetting her bag. So the guy had to run after her for that. He was not a middle age man who slept for the whole flight and did not speak a word to me once. Maybe he did. One or two word or something, like I care.

On the way to the airport...yeah I'm almost there

There we can see Suwannabhumi airport...merely lol

I actually had a problem with the immigration at Heathrow airport. You know why? I think I still have a child in me. I found it very cute when I was given a tiny can of diet coke on the plane. I thought I must have kept it as a souvenir. Yet, I forgot to finish it but put it back on my luggage. I would say my flight connection was very tight, only 40 min or a bit more time to catch the next flight. Then I was asked to stop while waiting in the line when walking through the immigration. The lady told me I could only carry one bag which means one luggage only, no handbag is allowed. Another "WTF!?" in my head. So I put everything in there including my cute tiny can. This is why when my luggage was checked through the x-ray thing, it was kept to be opened by some searcher. I could not believe myself that I was stopped there for 15 min cos of that cute little thing! The heathrow staffs were seriously not very helpful. I told them I was gonna miss my flight if they would not immediately search my bag. One guy came and told me, "Miss, you already missed your flight because you would still have to wait for a "lady" to search for what inside your luggage. There were 3 bags were kept before mine. I sweared to God, "what were I gonna do, fuck I missed my flight!?". I could not believe my eyes when a lady came to open the luggage before mine. There were more than 20 small cups of orange juices and several pieces of bread from the plane in a bag which was checked before mine! Why the hell would these people keep that amount of food from the airplane!? It would definitely not cos it was cute like my tiny can!! Anyway, I ended up missing my flight and had to wait for the next one which would be leaving in an hour. Thank god for that. I thought I would have to wait for a day or something lol

I should have arrived at Schipol airport around 10. I arrived at 11 something. While waiting for my baggage, I heard my name and other 8-10 ppl were announced publicly that we all needed to go to Serviair room. I wondered what the hell was going on?! There were already about 10 people or less waiting in the line. I asked them why we had to be there. They told me that British Airway lost my baggage. "Huh?! WTF!!" I didn't know what to say! It never happened to me before. I was really speechless and asked them what they could do for me. Simple answer was well-received. "We could not do anything at the moment but we will keep you informed once we hear from British Airway". Can you believe that they did not even give me any compensation or anything! I was only praying that my baggage would arrive the next day or something. Another funny thing about this is that Samantha, the girl who handled my case, said that I should not call to the number on my paper to check for my baggage cos it would be v. busy and that i should write them an email instead, lol.

Never mind that. After been stuck in the serviair for almost half an hour, I was worried about my friend Ange who came to pick me up at the airport. Oh well my mobile phone did not work there! How could I forget to tell my phone company? Now I was looking for a public phone. Found the blue one but errr its system seemed to be difficult to be used for me! I tried to insert my credit card but it did not work. I could not remember how I dialed some number and it reached to the operator. He asked for my credit card number and dialed Ange's number for me. Ange aka Ling Yai sounded a bit mad at me on the phone lol He said he had been waiting for me for 2-3 hours already oops! I told him about what happened and we went home.

Me arriving with shitty weather

Best driver in the world... at least he says so lol

Ange, who I also call Aap(ie), took me to Van der madeweg station so he could park his car. Then we took the metro home. I just realized that its really difficult to find a parking lot in A'dam. I mean you REALLY have to register so you could park a car in town or else you would have to pay for something like 4-5 euro an hour WOW! Aap's apartment is located in Nieumarkt area, quite hip and right in the city centre, which is very convenient to me. Thank god I found him lol Another thing I learned was that most apartments here do NOT have an elevator! Aapie happens to live on the top floor, lucky me lol

First city map I saw... and many later on. Seriously I'm not very good with map and already got me and my friend lost haha

Start from Metro (Underground train) at Van der Madeweg station. Until now, I still cannot pronouce the name of its station correctly lol I know I looked like shit but its only cos I didnt sleep enough on the plane!

I have to say that their underground train is not that clean. You can always see a lot of graffiti all over the wall.

Martijn, another Thai addict and one of Aap's friends, called that he would like to stop by the house. He is the guy in white t-shirt in a below pic. I wish I could show his pic but I promised him not to post his pic on TF. Anyway, he said he used to be on TF and talked to me. To be honest, I could not remember lol Its ok he forgave me hehe I had a pic of me taken with him too and it turned out I became a dwarf cos hes 2 metres tall (or taller) lol

The guys took me out and walked around the town. I would have to say that after the rain, the sky become so clear and the sun is shining! They agreed that I brought the sunshine.......really? hehe
Crossing to Centraal station

I'm just a typical Thai girl who is afraid of the sun lol

A'dam Centraal Station from the other side of the canal

By the pierrrrrr... you can see how busy the traffic on the canal is!

After a long walk, Martijn suddenly felt so hungry. We stopped by at McDonalds - how typical and easy (me)! As you see, there're too many teenagers yo yo yo waiting in the line. I didn't know it was that popular in Netherlands. I swear I saw a lot of McDonalds there, like on every corner of streets or something.

It was unbelievable crowded in McDonalds......too many young teenagers

People come when there is a festival - some school football thingy - at the Dam Square

Actually we did not eat at McDonalds cos it was way too crowded (and I suddenly felt so old there) hahaha we left and walked to Dam square when Martijn could actually get a piece of HotDog. I just realize that I haven't tried any of these Hot Dog stands at all. Next year maybe lol

Queen Palace at Dam Square

Dick Monument .... for me cos i still dont know what its called. Come on guys, no offence, but you can obviously see that the human statue there are also naked!! Anyway i just knew before i left that its for war memoraium at Dam Square.

We ended up sitting and chilling at Cafe Cuba where I learned that they did not mix up our drinks when we ordered it. Instead, they gave you a separate alcohol and a mixer for you. I remembered I ordered Barcadi Coke. They served me with a 1/3 glass of Barcadi and a bottle of diet coke. This is really nice and interesting cos in Bangkok, you would not get this amount of alcohol and a mixer which you can mix it yourself unless you actually order for a whole bottle of something.

Chillin' at Cafe Cuba

People come out when there is the sun

Then we went to a mini supermarkt called Albert Hijn (sorry if I spelled it wrongly) and bought a carton of beer (about 12 bottles). I did not realize that dutch people drink beer like a water lol Ange cooked for me that night. It was really nice to have someone cooked for you haha Martijn went home to get dress before we all headed to a Thai e-sarn party later that night.

The party was held at JantjesVerjaardag where we had to pay about 15 euro to get in. Luckily, I dont know why, the guy did not charge us for the entrance fee. I know that Martijn already got a ticket from the thai shop but its only for him. As soon as I walked in there, I saw a LOT of Thai people drinking and dancing there! Funny to see how they were all there talking in Thai. I could not help but wonder if i was still in Thailand lol The Thai (of course) DJ played music mixed between classic e-sarn songs (the ones I dont know how to sing) and western hip-hop songs. The drinks here is quite expensive like other places. I think my cocktail drinks would normally cost about 8 euro or more. Since I was with 2 guys, no one would wanna buy me drinks hahaha My friends had become poor cos they had to buy me drinks instead lol
All Thai people at Thai party lol

Aapieeeeee seemed to be happyyyyyyy

Yet he learned to dance too!

Yes that's JantjesVerjaardag

We left around 3 am cos I felt so tired and was having a bit of jet lag. I totally forgot about time difference and the fact that the sun here would not go down until 10-11 pm. WOW! Yes this is my first day in Amsterdam.

~* Specially thanks to people who actually finish reading this long blog lol *~
